At least 11 people have become victims in an ongoing shooting incident in the city of Midland on Friday morning (June 12), according to information from Mayor Lori Blong.
Local authorities confirmed at least one person has died. Midland police stated that first responders heard gunshots coming from inside a building upon arriving at the scene.
A standoff between law enforcement and the suspect is still ongoing. Authorities have not yet released the suspect's identity or the motive for the incident.
Midland Memorial Hospital reported receiving 9 victims. Of these, 4 are undergoing surgery and 5 are in stable condition.
