Over 300,000 Nissan Rogue Vehicles Recalled

Over 300,000 Nissan Rogue vehicles in the US are being recalled due to a potential engine failure risk during operation.

According to the announced information, the recall affects 2023–2025 Nissan Rogue models equipped with a 1.5L 3-cylinder variable compression turbocharged engine.

Cause

Elevated temperatures can lead to engine oil degradation. This can cause engine bearings to seize, damaging internal engine components and increasing the risk of engine failure.

How will the manufacturer address this?

Nissan dealerships will update control software, check diagnostic trouble codes, test drive the vehicles, inspect the oil pan for metallic debris, and replace the engine if necessary.

Owner notification letters are expected to be sent out before March 27, 2026.
