WOODSTOCK, GEORGIA – Authorities have confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of Matthew Milner at a Woodstock apartment last month.
According to a February 20, 2026, report by FOX 5 Atlanta, Prince Phillip Rolle, 18, a resident of Locust Grove, has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault.
Arrested in Unrelated Incident
Rolle was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department in a separate, unrelated incident before being transferred to Cherokee County to face charges related to the shooting.
The suspect is currently being held at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Center.
Victim, 18, Did Not Survive
Police stated that Rolle allegedly shot Matthew Milner, 18, inside an apartment at Riverstock Apartments on January 26.
The victim was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital but did not survive.
Woodstock Police Chief Roland Castro praised the investigative work of local law enforcement and the support from collaborating agencies, including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Many Questions Remain Unanswered
Authorities have not yet released a motive for the shooting, nor have they determined if Rolle and Milner knew each other prior to the incident.
Police have also not confirmed whether the weapon used in the crime has been recovered, nor have they clarified if the suspect acted alone or had accomplices.
The investigation is ongoing.
