OnlyFans Model Denies Rumors Linking Her to Drug Lord El Mencho's Death

A popular model on OnlyFans and Instagram in Mexico, María Julissa, has officially denied rumors suggesting she was the girlfriend of drug lord Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes. These speculations began to spread widely after an artificial intelligence (AI) generated image appeared on social media, accusing her of leading police to him.

María Julissa, who has approximately 3.5 million followers on Instagram, unexpectedly became the target of online criticism after Mexican authorities revealed they had tracked one of El Mencho's lovers to find his hideout. Under public pressure, Julissa affirmed that she has no involvement whatsoever with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) or any events related to the drug lord's death.

“I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that incident. The information circulating is false and baseless. I urge everyone not to believe fake news and only seek official sources,” Julissa wrote on social media.

Raid Operation at Tapalpa Resort

According to a report from Mexico's Secretary of National Defense Ricardo Trevilla, intelligence forces identified a woman closely connected to Oseguera and tracked her journey to the mountains of Tapalpa, Jalisco state. This was precisely where El Mencho and his trusted gunmen were hiding at a secluded resort.

Although the woman had left the resort before the raid, Mexican special forces quickly deployed a siege. In the fierce shootout that followed, El Mencho and many of his associates were killed on the spot, marking a significant blow to the structure of Mexico's most notorious criminal cartel.

Currently, Mexican authorities have not yet disclosed the true identity of the woman who led law enforcement to the location. However, social media posts continue to use María Julissa's image to attract attention, despite a complete lack of legal evidence proving her involvement.

Wave of Violence Erupts After Drug Lord's Death

El Mencho's demise has worsened the security situation in Jalisco state and neighboring areas. The CJNG cartel carried out a series of bloody retaliatory attacks targeting government forces and civilians, resulting in over 70 deaths, including many members of the Mexican National Guard.

Before his death, El Mencho was married to Rosalinda González Valencia, but they had separated in 2018. The incident involving María Julissa once again serves as a warning about the dangers of fake news and AI technology in slandering personal reputations during sensational events.
